pressure system developed in the Gulf of Maine and rapidly intensified. At 7 AM on the 21st, the low reached 968mb and was located halfway between Nova Scotia, Canada and Portland, Maine. Snow was heavy across Maine but moderate across New Hampshire. Vermont also received a modest amount. Thunder was also reported in the storm.
